I'm ready for my new family!

Clawsome

I'm Available

Poor Clawsome has had a lot of obstacles thrown at him during his young life. He showed up at a feral cat colony in a trailer park where the feeder noticed he had a problem with his eye and that he was not neutered. She trapped him, had him neutered and medicated his eye. We were able to take Clawsome in, but we soon noticed something that had not been observed before: he was drinking and urinating a lot. Back to the vet he went for blood work, which revealed that our little buddy Charlie was in very early renal failure. He has been getting sub-q fluids twice a week for a year and his kidney levels remain almost the same, just mildly elevated. His medical issues aside, Clawsome is a great cat! He loves people and getting attention is his favorite thing! We think he could do ok in a home with a laid back kitty, but we suspect he would be happiest as an only cat. We know that taking on a young cat with medical issues isn’t for everyone, but that doesn’t mean that it isn’t for anyone. We are hoping that someone will come through and give Clawsome a chance to have a home of his own.
